I decided I would start this week with a quick and very delicious chocolate dessert. I will make chocolate covered or dipped oreos. My daughter loves oreo, so I am going to make LOTS of yummy treats for my daughter. I think everybody loves Oreos! They are wonderful and delicious gift to give. They are great for Christmas time, also they would be fantastic for parties or special events. You can buy them at candy stores, but they are expensive. That’s why doing it yourself is much cheaper and incredibly easy. You also can decorate them your own way. Let`s starting.
I decided to use dark chocolate to dip the cookies in, but feel free to use green, whitechocolate or any other chocolate you like . Melt dark chocolate in a double boiler or in the microwave. Dip Oreos into the dark chocolate and lay to dry on a piece of wax paper.I recommend using a fork and tapping off the excess chocolate before placing on wax paper to dry. Add sprinkles while the chocolate is still wet (you can use a variety of sprinkles or crushed peppermint candy or melt a little white chocolate and drizzle over each oreo ).
- 1 package Oreo cookies
- 6 ounces dark chocolate
- 1 package sprinkles
- Melt dark chocolate (In microwave, in a double boiler, etc.).
- Dip each oreo in dark chocolate, then lay out on a wax paper covered baking sheet.
- Sprinkle with sprinkles.
- Let cool for about 15-20 minutes.
