Chocolate Salami

Chocolate Salami is a delicious Italian dessert that always impresses. This dessert is very popular in Italy. It’s so easy to make and there’s no baking required. I’ve looked at a half dozen or more recipes for chocolate salami. There are numerous variations of this popular dessert and all recipes include uncooked eggs which I find off-putting. chocolate salamiThe authentic version uses eggs, sugar, cocoa powder butter, biscuits, assorted nuts like pistachio, almonds and walnuts and dried fruits of your choice. I have prepared an eggless version and had success. You can make a batch ahead of time, store it in the freezer (you can store it in refrigerator up to one week) and It’s also very convenient to have on hand for parties.
