How to make healthy Greek salad

I love so much to prepare international food and today I’m  going to make greek salad. I think greek salad is one of the most delicious and popular salads in the world. There are many methods of cooking. It`s easy and quick salad. You just need cucumber, tomato, feta  cheese, olives and onion.greek salad

Some people just don’t   like the taste of Greek salad, because   feta cheese is so salty. However, there is a simple solution  just soak the cheese in cold filtered water to leach out some of the salt.

If you want to make really Greek salad then follow these rules.

1.Cut salad`s Ingredients into big pieces. No, not just big, but very big.healthy salad

2.The best olives for a Greek salad are Kalamata olives. Kalamata olives are distinctive in appearance and taste from other olives. They have a rich eggplant color.

3.Do not cut the cheese. Place abig slice of feta  on top.
But I didn’t follow rules I did it my way and my greek salad was so delicious .

  • 1 head lettuce
  • 2 large tomatoes large diced
  • 1 cucumber large diced
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • ¾ cup kalamata olives
  • ¾ cup feta cheese
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt, pepper
  1. Place the lettuce in a middle bowl and add the tomatoes, olives, cucumber, feta cheese and onion.
  2. Whisk together the olive oil, salt, pepper and oregano.
  3. Pour over the salad and serve .
